  • Service between Winterhaven and El Centro to be operated by Yuma County Area Transit

    Starting on Monday, January 7, 2013 – YCAT will operate Turquoise Route 10 service between Paradise Casino, Yuma, AZ, Winterhaven and El Centro, CA. Two round trips will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.  As a result, Imperial Valley Transit will discontinue Route 3 between Holtville and Winterhaven, CA on Wednesdays.

    There will be a new route, new schedule in operation. Direct service between Holtville and Winterhaven will no longer be possible without a transfer in downtown El Centro.  Click here for more information or call (928) 783-2235.

  • Silver Route 9 Service Extends to Avenue F and San Pedro Street

    The Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA) has implemented new service to Avenue F and San Pedro Street in San Luis on Silver Route 9 in both directions to San Luis and Arizona Western College, Monday through Thursday.  This is a pilot service extension and if there is little or no ridership by March 31, 2013, this bus stop will be eliminated. There will be no changes to the schedule at this time.

  • Purple Route 6 and 6A Detour

    Due to construction ongoing at the corner of 16th Street and Avenue A, Purple Route 6 and 6A will travel via 16th Street and 10th Avenue.  There will be no bus stops served on Avenue A between 16th Street and 11th Street until this construction is completed.  We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.  This detour is in effect until further notice.

  • Blue Route 5 Detour In Old Subdivision Continues

    QTDHE (Housing) is slated to start the sidewalk and gutter construction work in the Old Subdivision effective Monday, 07/09/2012.  This will affect the Blue Route 5 going through the Old Subdivision. The bus will re-route via Sapphire Lane, Bluestone, Emerald, and Garnet instead of the present route today.  Two bus stops in the Old Subdivision will be eliminated during the construction, which will continue through December 17, 2012.

  • Silver Route 9 Service to Avenue F

    YCAT has extended Silver Route 9 on a pilot basis to Avenue F and County 24th Street in San Luis. This pilot will operate from November 15, 2012 to March 31, 2012. Should this pilot be successful, this route change will be made permenent.

  • Yellow Route 95 Service Changes to Serve Yuma Palms Regional Center

    The Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA) will be implementing service changes on Yellow Route 95 starting on Thursday, November 1, 2012.   The change will result in the restoration of service to Yuma Palms Regional Center by way of bus stops on 16th Street, Pacific Avenue and 24th Street.  Service along Arizona Avenue will be discontinued.  Bus stops at DMV, Oliva Avenue and Kennedy Lane will be restored.  There will be no changes to the schedule at this time.

  • New Yellow Route 95A Service From San Luis to Yuma via Immaculate Conception School

    The Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA) has added new service on Yellow Route 95A from San Luis to Downtown Yuma via Immaculate Conception School in Yuma starting Monday, October 1, 2012.

    A morning trip will depart Main @ C Streets in San Luis at 7:00 a.m. and arrive at Immaculate Conception School at 7:45 a.m. and Downtown Yuma Transit Center via 3rd Street at 7:57 a.m., Monday through Friday.

    A afternoon trip will depart Downtown Yuma Transit Center at 3:00 p.m. travel via 3rd and 8th Streets and arrive at Immaculate Conception School at 3:12 p.m. then continue to Main @ C Streets in San Luis at 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  On Fridays, a special trip will depart Immaculate Conception School at 12:35 p.m. and arrive at West Yuma Transfer Hub on 26th Street at 12:45 p.m. with a timed connection to southbound Yellow Route 95 at 12:49 p.m. to continue to San Luis.

  • Discount Riders Must Obtain a YCAT Discount Card to Continue to Recieve Discounts

    All discount riders that are either a senior age 65 years old or older, a student between the ages of 5 through 18 or have a disability must show proof of eligibility to use obtain a discount fare.  Proof of eligibility includes: NEW YCAT Discount Card, School ID, State Identification Card showing age (seniors only), Medicare Card, disability placard registration from DMV or MVD or a Veterans Card.  Passengers with OLD YCAT Discount Cards will have the card confiscated.

    Passengers that do not show proof of eligibility for discount fare by November 30, 2012 will be required to pay full basic fare to ride YCAT buses.  To obtain a YCAT Discount Card, please pick up an application on the bus, click here or call (928) 783-2235.
