YCAT Updates - November 2013

YCAT is committed to providing exceptional service to the riders of Yuma County.  Listed below are some minor service modifications that will take effect on Monday, December 2, 2013 as well as other news of interest.

Effective Monday, December 2, 2013 – the following modifications to YCAT service will take effect:

  1. New Peach Route 13 – YRMC Shuttle will begin between Yuma Regional Medical Center and 32nd Street @ Avenue B, Monday-Friday from 4:30 am to 8:30 pm every 20-30 minutes.  See separate brochure for details.
  2. Red Route 1 will no longer serve Social Security and Redondo Center Drive. Use Orange Route 2 (north) or Yellow Route 95 (south).
  3. Blue Route 5 will serve Quechan Casino Resort first then Andrade.
  4. NightCAT will serve Yuma International Airport at approximately 7:45 p.m., 9:15 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.  If you need to check the status of NightCAT, call (928) 271-0927.
  5. Purple Route 6A and Violet Route 7 will reverse routing through Mesa Verde.  Buses traveling south or west will serve Mesa Verde via US Highway 95 @ Avenue C.  Buses traveling north or east will serve Mesa Verde via County 16th Street and Avenue B.

YCAT is NO longer selling paper 31-DayPasses or 10-RidePasses.  All 31-DayPasses, 10-Ride Passes and 10-DayPasses will be on the electronic YCAT SmartCard.  These cards cost $2.

Rider’s Guides starting in December will cost 50 cents and maybe purchased from the Bus Operator.  Free Rider’s Guides may be obtained at YCAT Office and various destinations shown online at www.ycat.az.gov.

Turquoise Route 10 is operating on Mountain Standard Time in Yuma, AZ & Pacific Standard Time in El Centro, CA. Please be aware when reading schedules.

New trolleys are here!  Look for them on Red Route 1, Orange Route 2, Brown Route 3, Green Route 4 or Purple Route 6.  If you board a trolley on these routes in December, your ride is FREE!  Trolleys will be used on HolidayCAT and special events.
