Join YCIPTA for the 1st Annual National Train Day in Yuma!

Join the Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA) at the Quartermaster Depot State Historical Park, 201 N. 4th Avenue, Yuma, On Saturday, May 11th, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Tour the Historic Quartermaster Depot, Pivot Point where trains first crossed into Yuma and come see us in the Supply Warehouse. National Train Day is based on (completion of the first transcontinental railroad in 1869), with 2013 being the 144th Anniversary!  Trains have been a very important function in our history, past and present.  We would like to invite you to experience the history of the train system and how it has affected us.

There will be door prizes, jump houses, informational booths, interactive booths, model train displays, historic train displays throughout the grounds, a special “Put Mama on the Train!” raffle and much more!

Win a round trip train ride from Yuma to LA, provided by Amtrak with shuttle services to and from the Amtrak station, provided by First Class Shuttle.
