  • YCAT Service Changes Effective October 21, 2013

    The Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA) will make service changes to adjust for seasonal demand, poor ridership, on time performance issues and ridership requests. The following routes/services are anticipated to change on Monday, October 21, 2013: Red Route 1, Orange Route 2/2A, Brown Route 3, Blue Route 5, Purple Route 6 with elimination of Purple Route 6A/weekdays, Violet Route 7, Gold Route 8 with new Gold Route 8A, Silver Route 9, Turquoise Route 10, Yellow Route 95 (Saturday), NightCAT and YCAT OnCall.

  • YCATPass Electronic Card Debuts on September 2, 2013

    Starting Tuesday, September 2, 2013 – YCATPass will launch!  This new electronic card will replace paper 31-Day and 10-Ride passes.  This new card will also allow passengers to store money on the card (up to $300) and after riding the bus 2 times per day, the card will automatically turn into a DayPass.                 

    No more over paying for bus trips!

  • Errors in YCAT Rider's Guide

    Please take note of the following errors as defined below:

    Red Route 1 first trip on Saturday is 9:30 a.m.
    Brown Route 3 first trip on Saturday is 10:52 a.m.
    Blue Route 5 first trip on Saturday is 9:15 a.m.
    Purple Route 6 first trip on weekdays is 7:25 a.m. and returns to West Yuma Transfer Hub by 8:01 a.m. bypassing North Cocopah Reservation.
    Purple Route 6A will depart North Cocopah Reservation at 6:35 a.m. instead of 7:00 a.m. and operate 15 minutes earlier to all timepoints.
    •The timepoint on Turquoise Route 10 at 4th St @ Aurora Dr is now at 4th St @ Brighton Ave
    Silver Route 9 and NightCAT now departs AWC/NAU/UA at 8:45 p.m. instead of 8:15 p.m and all scheduled timepoints on Silver 9 will operate 30 minutes later.  A new 7:15 p.m. NightCAT trip will begin on 8/19/2013.
    WelltonCAT operates on Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. within Wellton and to Tacna, Dome Valley and Fortuna Foothills Walmart.
     
    We aplogize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.  These corrections will be made in the upcoming Rider's Guide revision.

  • Dump The Pump 2013 - Free Rides on YCAT!

    With the continuing high gas prices, the Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA)  announced today that it will join with other public transportation systems across the nation and throughout Arizona to participate in the 8th Annual National Dump the Pump Day on Thursday, June 20th.  The slogan for this year’s Dump the Pump Day is “Dump the Pump. Save Money. Ride Transit.”  Yuma County Area Transit – commonly known as YCAT is encouraging local residents to get out of their cars and use YCAT--it’s time to Dump the Pump Yuma!

  • Delays on Routes Serving Pacific Avenue and 24th Street

    Due to construction on 24th Street and Pacific Avenue in Yuma, delays may occur to Red Route 1, Orange Route 2/2A, Green Route 4 and Yellow Route 95. In addition, the eastbound 24th Street @ Pacific Avenue bus stop is closed due to the location being inaccessible.
