The Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA) will be making minor service changes to adjust for seasonal demand, on time performance issues and ridership requests which would take effect Monday, April 7, 2014. 

Routes impacted:  NightCAT, Red 1, Orange 2/2A, Brown 3, Green 4, Blue 5, Purple 6/6A, Violet 7, Gold 8 and Yellow 95.

In partnership with Saguaro Foundation, WACOG, Achieve Human Services, Horizon Human Services and YMPO, The Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA) will implement SARA Rides, the "one call, one click" mobility management center for a one year pilot project.  As a result, YCAT OnCall will be operated by Saguaro Foundation with YCAT vehicles.   There is no changes to YCAT OnCall service, fares, procedures or schedules.  Continue to call YCAT to schedule and cancel rides to (928) 783-2235.

Effective immediately, NightCAT will serve Yuma Palms Regional Center bus stop located on Castle Dome Avenue and Yuma Palms Parkway next to Target, across from Kohl's.  Please call (928) 783-2235 to reserve a pick up from this location.

With daylight savings time taking effect on Sunday, March 9, 2014, Turquoise Route 10 will begin following the Summer schedule as defined in the YCAT Rider's Guide or in the Imperial Valley Transit Rider's Guide.  Please plan your trips accordingly as there are time changes.

Effective Friday, March 14, 2014, Peach Route 13 and YCAT OnCall service during the extended hours of Peach Route 13 will be discontinued at the request of Yuma Regional Medical Center.  As a result, other routes that passengers can take in the place of Peach Route 13 include Red Route 1 on 24th Street, Green Route 4 on Avenue A, Purple Route 6/6A on 24th Street and Yellow Route 95 on 24th Street and Avenue B.  We aplogize for any inconveniences caused by this service change.

Starting on Monday, Februrary 4, 2014, Turquoise Route 10 will serve the El Centro Regional Bus Transfer Terminal located at State Street @ 7th Street in El Centro.  Board the route on eastbound State Street.  There will be a minor route change, which will result in the eastbound State Street @ 8th Street, southbound 4th Street @ Wensley Avenue, southbound 4th Street @ Brighton Street bus stops to be discontinued.

YCIPTA is looking for 11 excited YCAT riders that is interested in joining the YCAT Community Transit Committee!

The goal of the YCAT Community Transit Committee is to advise the Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority Board of Directors regarding  public transit matters in Yuma County. If the selected to serve on the committee, YCIPTA staff will make a recommendation to the YCIPTA Board of Directors for appointment to this committee to serve staggered two year terms.
