Welcome to Yuma County Area Transit!
The Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA) is proud to provide Yuma County Area Transit (YCAT) fixed route, vanpool and YCAT OnCall demand responsive bus service throughout southwestern Yuma County including the cities of Yuma, San Luis, Somerton, Town of Wellton, Cocopah Indian Reservation and unincorporated communities of Yuma County, including Gadsden, Fortuna Foothills and Ligurta. YCAT also provides service into Winterhaven and El Centro, CA and on the Quechan/Fort Yuma Indian Reservation. You can count on YCAT to provide transit services - Monday through Friday 5:50 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. with limited evening service from Arizona Western College, University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University as well as limited Yuma County and eastern Imperial County destinations as well as on Saturday between 9:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

If you are low income and meet the Federal standards for poverty established by the United States Health and Human Services, you could be eligible for a new lower price lifeline transit pass. The discounted 31-Day YCATPass will be available at the rate of $30.00 instead of paying $60.00. For those who are students (ages 5 through 18), seniors (age 65 and older), persons with disabilities and Medicare card holders would be able to obtain the lifeline 31-Day YCATPass for $15.00 instead of $30.00. Non-profit organizations will be able to request donated YCAT DayPasses or purchase YCAT fare media at 50% off the normal fare.Read More

The Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA) in conjunction with Amtrak will join communities across America to celebrate the importance of trains to their town at the seventh annual National Train Day. The event will be held at the Quartermaster Depot State Historical Park, 201 N. 4th Avenue, Yuma, On Saturday, May 10th, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This local event is sponsored by YCIPTA, City of Yuma, Yuma Visitors Bureau, Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area Corporation, Yuma Live Steamers and Yuma Model Railroad Club.Read More
